The Business Activity Framework is currently under heavy development but the new version (hopefully 0.3.0) should be released shortly. Apparently there were some issues related to possible incorrect compensation in the Coordinator Completion Agreement protocol (it was possible that the compensation would be reported as done, even though some compensations would not occur) and I am currently working on the solution to that. Additionally, I hope to adapt the framework more properly so that it can be easily incorporated into the official JBoss Transaction Service (the XTS component to be exact). I am changing the logging mechanism to commons-logging as well.

I have finally graduated:) It's probably a small step in my whole life but now it looks like a giant leap. Actually, I wasn't worried that much about my dissertations but it's still good to know that everything went smoothly. I have just begun a new period of my life - I signed a new contract with my previous employer. I started working on some new projects of my own as well (details should be posted soon). Last couple of weeks were pretty hard. I have been working and traveling a lot. My paper has been presented at the 2007 Middleware for Web Services workshop (IEEE EDOC Conference) held in Annapolis, Maryland, USA (http://www.greenpea.net/mws/mws2007/index.html). I have also presented my work at the Java Developer's Day 2007 in Kraków, Poland (http://07.jdd.org.pl/). I should be posting more stuff about my project on this blog soon so stay tuned:)

Systematic approach towards SE

It's high time to stick to a systematic approach towards my development! Some marks for my previous modules have been released and I was really happy to hear that "... The group decision to appoint a group leader earlier was the key to the group success. Maciej has clearly been a very good leader.":) I need to structure the work I'm going to do and apply a proper methodology. I believe that the writeup, knowledge, experience and good fun is as important as the code itself.

First post...

Yesterday I've finally started my internship at JBoss/RedHat. I've been recently going through a lot of papers and articles about transactions and Web Services. It turns out that my project is going to be quite challenging. Fortunatelly it's as tough as interesting so I'll definitely enjoy it:) I'm quite lucky to work with nice and known(!) people. I've been playing around with some demo apps and I still need to read far much more stuff. Hopefully I'll end one book by the end of that week...
